gtooz.org converts grams to ounces and a few related units. It asks almost nothing of you, and this page spells out exactly what.

Short and simple

The conversion happens in your browser, on your own device. Whatever you type never reaches us, there is no sign-in, and once you leave, nothing about your visit lingers on our side.

What is actually collected

Just the routine request data any web server records. When your browser loads a page here, the host writes an access log entry: an IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser's user-agent, and any page that linked you in. It is used to keep the site running and to catch abuse, it is not tied to a name, and it is cleared within roughly a month.

Cookies and counting visits

Turn cookies off and the converter still works, because it does not depend on them. Anything we set would only keep the page working or remember a small preference. If we count visits, we use a tool that reports totals rather than one that trails you around the internet.

Ads

No third-party ads run here at the moment. If we add them one day, an ad network could set its own cookies and see your IP, so we would list who they are and link their policies first.

Your data rights

Non-essential cookies stay optional. Under rules such as the GDPR or the CCPA you may ask what personal data we hold and have it deleted, though since we keep no profiles there is usually nothing to hand over. Email us and we will confirm.

Security

Everything runs over HTTPS and we keep the software up to date. No site is completely secure, but there is barely anything sensitive here to protect.

Children

gtooz.org is a general-audience tool, not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

Any revision appears here with a new date on top, and we will make a meaningful change obvious rather than quiet.
